Vertex Darts
Privacy Notice
Pre-release draft · Updated August 16, 2026
This notice explains the planned handling of information in Vertex Darts, a camera-assisted darts scoring application from Vertex Design Works, operated by Vodden Ventures Ltd. The notice will be reviewed against the finished app before public release.
Camera use
Vertex Darts uses the device camera to view a dartboard, calibrate its position and detect thrown darts. The intended design processes the live camera view for scoring and does not save or upload photos or video by default. If a future feature records, uploads or shares camera content, the app will clearly explain that use and request permission first.
Information the app may handle
- Player names, profile preferences and optional account details.
- Scores, matches, statistics, game settings and calibration information.
- Device details, app version, crash reports and performance diagnostics.
- Support messages and information voluntarily supplied to our support team.
- Subscription or purchase status supplied by Apple or Google. Vertex does not receive or store full payment-card numbers.
How information is used
Information is used to score games, save progress, provide statistics, synchronize an optional account, diagnose problems, prevent abuse, answer support requests and operate purchases or subscriptions. Vertex does not sell personal information.
Permissions
Camera permission is requested only for camera-assisted setup and scoring. Optional notifications, microphone, photos or other permissions will be requested only if a feature requires them. Permissions can be changed in device settings, although the related feature may stop working.
Sharing and service providers
Limited information may be processed by providers used for hosting, authentication, crash reporting, analytics, payments or support. Providers may use that information only to perform services for Vertex. Information may also be disclosed where legally required or necessary to protect users, Vertex or others.
Retention and security
Personal information is retained only as long as reasonably needed for the app, legal obligations, security, disputes and enforcement. Reasonable safeguards are used, including encrypted network connections where appropriate. No system can guarantee absolute security.
Your choices
You can use device settings to control permissions. Where Vertex Darts supports accounts, you may request access, correction or deletion. See the account-deletion instructions.
Children
Vertex Darts is not directed to children under 13, and Vertex does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without appropriate parental consent.
